“Sengoku BASARA” to get live-action drama adaptation

Action game “Sengoku BASARA” which has been adapted to TV anime and stage play, will be now getting a live action drama adaptation.

The live action drama is titled “Sengoku BASARA -MOONLIGHT PARTY-“, and both Hayashi Kento and Takeda Kohei will be taking the lead roles as Date Masamune (Hayashi) and Sanada Yukimura (Takeda).  It was also revealed that GACKT will appear as Oda Nobunaga.
Hayashi commented, “Since the original work is an enthusiastic popular game, and all characters are cool, I was quite nervous, but I will try my best.”  Takeda also said, “I’ve played the game, and thought that it’s impossible to make it live action, but I’m starting to get a response as the filming started.” GACKT who will be playing the villain, Oda Nobunaga, made the press burst into laughter saying, “It’s good that I can play as bad Nobunaga, since my private life would be easier if the public thinks I’m a bad guy.  I’m pretty a good guy in private though.”
“Sengoku BASARA -MOONLIGHT PARTY-” will be aired on MBS starting on July 12th at 1:25 am, and will also be aired on BS-TBS starting in September.
